TESTIMONIES

LIFE CHANGES My life was changed. I saw what Jesus can do to help turn my life around. I was a Christian since my teens but the recent changes in my life cannot be described. I have encouraged some of my friends to attend personal freedom & wholeness. They have some issues & genuinely wants to be well. I am a church leader and I am helping others with what I have been taught. I have booked to attend the seminars again because there's still so much to learn.

APPLCATION I attended the seminars in 2022 and was able to help my friend, who didn't want to come to church anymore. But she was willing to meet me to deal with her past hurts and unforgiveness - so my church leaders gave permission and told me to meet with her for the next few months. I will continue to share the Good News with her, that Jesus is the answer to her problems.

LIGHT AFTER THE DARKENESS OF DEPRESSION I was excited when I went overseas to work. But a few short years later, I suffered from depression. It was so bad that I had to resign from my job and return home. I was on medication and slowly put my life back together. A friend introduced me to Freedom and Wholness and I attended their seminar. I have been a Christian for many years and have served in church since my youth. Everything that was taught, I already know. Nothing in the seminar was new to me. BUT somehow, I began to understand the big picture, which I didn't realise previously. Now, I know HOW things went wrong in my life and WHY I was affected so badly. I understood WHAT I had to do (through forgiveness) to receive freedom from Jesus. I am no longer on medication. My psychiatrist meets me once or twice a year just to check on my progress. It was a process but I learn a lot through the seminars, even as a mature Christian. I am now working full-time again in a job which I enjoy. I keep in touch with the Team and continue to attend the seminars. This is because I am now helping some people with their problems. I find that I am learning more and more, even from repeating the seminars which I had previously attended. What I learn are simple Bible principles which I can apply to my own life and also effectively use to help those who come to me for help. I thank God. Now I have this network of mature Christians to keep in contact, and I can draw encouragement from them.

FORGIVENESS EVEN WHEN THEY DON'T KNOW I AM HURTING I blamed my father for my sexual abuse by a neighbour, even though my father didn't know about this. I know it was irrational but I was angry that my father was not there to protect me. I have forgiven my father and released the anger and bitterness from my heart. I have asked God to forgive me for blaming him. I will continue to learn to take responsibility for my own life, and not blame others. I learn the power of forgiveness. I will forgive all those who were involved in my own bad marriage and divorce.

THERE IS A DIFFERENCE The seminar helped me get over the trauma of my sister's unexpected death. But I find it hard to explain how I managed to find freedom. All I know is that now there is a difference in my life. I will attend the seminar again to deepen my understanding and to help others.

FATHER ISSUES My relationship with my father got worse after I became a Christian. I continued to blame him for his bad relationship with my mother, and his many sexual relationships which has destroyed our family. At the seminar, I learn about the Forgiveness Triangle, and how to forgive my father properly. I am now able to love him and accept him as my father. Now I am praying for him to know Jesus so he can experience the freedom that I am feeling. My own life has changed for the better and I am happier. I do not have the burdens which I carried for so many years as a Christian.

LEARNING ABOUT DEATH The important things I learnt were 1. Types of bereavement. 2. Where do the dead go. Who decides? 3. Living beyond our time - because of a fear of death? 4. What happens when the church has no practical answers on death? Dealing with unfinished business - preparing someone for death? - ending for the living? - forgiveness issues?

PAST RELATIONSHIPS I'm helping a young woman with many past sexual relationships, several abortions, and she is still struggling as a Christian I'm attending the seminars again to learn more Biblical principles to help her more effectively.

Theodore Roosevelt delivered the speech entitled “Citizenship in a Republic” at the Sorbonne in Paris on April 23, 1910.

The Man in the Arena

It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat. Shame on the man of cultivated taste who permits refinement to develop into fastidiousness that unfits him for doing the rough work of a workaday world. Among the free peoples who govern themselves there is but a small field of usefulness open for the men of cloistered life who shrink from contact with their fellows. Still less room is there for those who deride or slight what is done by those who actually bear the brunt of the day; nor yet for those others who always profess that they would like to take action, if only the conditions of life were not exactly what they actually are. The man who does nothing cuts the same sordid figure in the pages of history, whether he be cynic, or fop, or voluptuary. There is little use for the being whose tepid soul knows nothing of the great and generous emotion, of the high pride, the stern belief, the lofty enthusiasm, of the men who quell the storm and ride the thunder. It is war-worn Hotspur, spent with hard fighting, he of the many errors and the valiant end, over whose memory we love to linger, not over the memory of the young lord who “but for the vile guns would have been a valiant soldier.”
